 skierskierskier < 6 hours < 1 hour ~ 5,000 m (16,500 ft)

The explanation of our four competence levels should make it easy for you to decide, if the tour of your choice would meet your expectations or whether you may want to consider an alternative.

skier You feel right at home cruising red runs all day but will take on the challenge of a black run (with varying levels of success) once in a while. Untracked snow off the groomed runs (that is without a base) still mystifies you. It's a struggle once you venture into this type of terrain and you end up wearing yourself out pretty fast. Back on the prepared runs though you're happy skiing all day!

skierskier You enjoy black runs at any resort and venture occasionally into tracked-up off-piste terrain of the kind one finds after a decent storm. Light powder works well for you under these conditions but wet snow, crusts or steep slopes prove to be a tiresome struggle - especially if you'd want to do it day after day.

skierskierskier You are an advanced all-mountain skier and - when the conditions allow it - avoid the groomed terrain altogether. You feel right at home off-piste and smoothly link fast, parallel turns even in wet snow and on slopes to 35°. You have the stamina to ski 5,000 m (16,500 ft) vertical off-piste and don't mind short climbs on skins for up to an hour to reach the goodies.

skierskierskierskier You are an expert and get a kick out of skiing pretty much any type of snow without floundering. Double diamond slopes exceeding 35° steepness are within your comfort zone. You have the endurance to ski up to 7,000 m (23,000 ft) of vertical off-piste each day for a week and are always game to shoulder your skis or skin up for that stash of powder over there 'yonder.
